​Dorothy's Story

My love affair with automobiles began long before I could even reach the pedals. As a little girl, I would eagerly hop into my Pop's 1927 Essex. The engine roared to life, and suddenly, I was transported to another world—a world of rumbling engines, sparkling chrome, and adventures waiting just beyond the horizon.

My fascination with vintage and classic cars grew when I met my husband, who belonged to numerous car clubs. I began by taking on the role of editor and producing publications for the various car clubs, each issue filled with tales of restoration, history, and the sheer joy of driving a piece of art on wheels. 

​

If I have a favourite era, it is the elegance of the Art Deco period. These cars weren’t just modes of transportation; they were sculptures that told stories of elegance. A time when beauty reigned supreme, and automobiles were crafted with an artistry that transcended mere functionality.

As the years rolled on and I fondly remembered my Pop's beloved Essex, I  realised every car had a story to tell, so I try to keep telling those stories on my blog. ​
